A contribution from Dr. Alexandra Kohlmann, Managing Director of ROWE
ROWE - what a success!
The development of ROWE is an incredible achievement. There are few examples of companies in the industry that have grown so quickly. When you stand in front of the huge plant in Worms, you have to keep reminding yourself: The company is only 28 years old. What my father Michael Zehe has achieved since it was founded deserves the greatest respect. Back then, he put all his eggs in one basket and, with a lot of hard work, courage and entrepreneurial flair, made ROWE what it is today.
Dear Dad!
Dear Dad, what a race! I am immensely proud of what you have built from nothing in 28 years of entrepreneurship. This success story is truly unique! And I'm all the more grateful for what I've been able to learn from you over the years and the path we've taken together. The fact that you are now so actively shaping the transition to the next generation and thus securing the future of ROWE as our family business also deserves the greatest respect.
ROWE in a changing world
We live in a world that is changing ever faster. The challenges are enormous. Global climate protection, ever new technologies and a changing world of work are areas that also have a particularly large impact on ROWE. Business and industry are facing a major transformation, a new structural change.
For me, it is therefore clear that we need real progress in all areas. Progress that makes climate protection possible. Progress that sustainably secures our prosperity and our livelihoods. Progress that leads our industry and our working world into a new age.
As the world changes, so must ROWE.
Going new ways
Progress always needs movement - and that's a good thing, because we at ROWE know all about movement. And I mean that both figuratively and literally:
Because on the one hand, it means that we as a company have to keep moving ourselves. We have to break new ground again and again.
And for another, we see that there is always movement in all the many new technologies - from mobility to renewable energies. Movement that needs lubricants, coolants and much more. So that's exactly what we do here at ROWE.
Our competencies are needed
Our DNA as a company lies in the automotive industry. And that extends to electromobility. What many people don't know: Today, lubricants from ROWE can already be found in many an electric car.
And that is just the beginning. Today, we are already using our expertise for a wide variety of applications throughout industry.
Because ROWE's know-how and products can help increase efficiency in industry and create new solutions. With our lubricants and coolants, we enable the most innovative technologies in industrial plants, in mobility and in energy generation and storage. In this way, we are helping to meet the challenges facing industry and climate protection.
We want to make real progress possible
What does this mean for us as a company? ROWE has enormous future know-how, which we will use to make real progress possible for the entire industry.
The upcoming structural change in industry, mobility and energy is therefore a huge opportunity for ROWE. As an entrepreneur, I will work with all my strength to seize this opportunity and make ROWE even stronger, even bigger. In doing so, ROWE will always remain the reliable family business it is today.
Winning new championships for ROWE
My father described the last decades of building up ROWE as an endurance race. In this race, I will now take the wheel and continue to drive with full ambition. I am looking forward to leading ROWE to new successes and championships together with our strong team, with all the great employees and with my future Co-Managing Director Stefan Wermter.
