STRONG TEAM PERFORMANCE AND TOP RESULT IN LE CASTELLET

ROWE RACING kicked off the new GT World Challenge Europe season with a solid team performance. At the six-hour race in Le Castellet, France, the team achieved two strong results with the BMW M4 GT3 EVO under challenging conditions.

In the #98, Augusto Farfus, Jake Dennis, and Raffaele Marciello staged an impressive comeback. Starting from 22nd on the grid, the trio steadily worked their way up the field over the course of the race and crossed the finish line in sixth place. In total, the car gained 16 positions – the best possible result under the given circumstances.

The #998 also delivered a strong performance: Tim Tramnitz, Jens Klingmann and Ugo de Wilde finished tenth overall and secured third place in the Gold Cup. For Tim Tramnitz, it was the first GT race of his career – a debut that was immediately rewarded with a podium finish.

Overall, it was a very difficult event for us. Even during the test days, we saw that we weren’t at the expected level in terms of longitudinal dynamics. Everyone on the team, as well as our partners, worked with extreme dedication to understand and reduce this deficit. The fact that, under these conditions, we finished in the top 10 with both cars and secured a podium finish right away with the #998 in its Gold Cup debut is a strong result. For this, a big thank you is due to everyone involved."

ROWE RACING - ONE TEAM. ONE GOAL.

ROWE is involved in motorsport not just out of passion for the sport or for a good image, but because no test is more realistic than out on the race track. We therefore use findings from our “driving laboratory” to research new lubricants and to optimize existing formulations. With ROWE RACING, we achieve something that cannot be recreated in any laboratory in the world: the practical test under extreme conditions.

The team's main focus has always been on endurance racing, but especially on the extreme challenge of the 24-hour races. “The more difficult the situation and the greater the stress, the more ROWE RACING can shine,” says Hans-Peter Naundorf, Team Principal of ROWE RACING.
